Dear Tommy,

Hope you had a great Thanksgiving holiday.

I appreciate you getting back to me so quickly. I now know what creampie means. (It sounds gross.)

He’s a visiting Ph.D. student. He started his research at my college this summer. (I'm a junior there.) We first met last month at the college’s LGBT student center and had lunch together a few times at the dining hall. This will be our first official date!

As he is well-educated, I don’t think he is going to do anything unsafe, if we end up having sex. But you never know what he likes.

He’s friendly, funny and tall, with boyish good looks. I hope that our first date will go well so that he will be more than just a sex friend. I may have to ask you more questions about how to have a successful relationship with an American gay male.
